Each entertainment publication’s selling point is the entertainment factor that it has sizzling that should create a public uproar. The more intriguing the scoops are, the better it is that the magazine sells. As the editor-in-chief of a new internationally circulating fashion and showbiz magazine, the list of fascinating features are always irrespective of what other magazines have cooking. Our edge in this industry is how authentic these raw items are without being adulterated. We never use crazy headliners that entail double meanings. That’s just obsolete crap. Our titles reflect what our features are all about, hem by hem.
I have always kept exclusivity of our feature in my partner MacBook, in the safest place I know – which is my home. For the sake of not having any leak that must keep our magazine sales ahead of the competition, I rather make sure that all this important and classified information (well at least until when they are published) are in safe hands. Or so I thought — that one incident just changed what ‘safe’ meant to me.
I came home with a quietly ransacked house. The two days I was in Vegas for a celebrity event was enough chance for a burglar to take his time rummaging through my stuff and took, of all things, my MacBook. It just pays to have a good and prepared team around you who were just able to get everything together just in time for the print run. Safe is when you house is fully armed with reliable security systems. Safe is having security cameras, sensors and other devices that would act for you and like you as a homeowner in your absence.
